Fall is finally here and so are cooler night temperatures! In fact, temperatures dipped down to 40ºF in northwest Ohio this past week. Consistently lower night temperatures can adversely affect greenhouse tomato production resulting in a myriad of problems including poor pollination, decreased fruit set, misshapen fruit and fruit cracking. We recommend that growers begin turning on the heat to maintain minimum night temperatures around 62-64ºF.
